Burgundy crush

Every season when the leaves begin changing colours we reach for the same beautiful jewel tones for our wardrobes. Shades of burgundy with its deep red and purple undertones always feel right for fall. Also it is one of the fall/winter fashion staples and it’s also flattering for all skin tones. The rich, wintry hue has made an elegant play across the outfits in form of jackets and coats, sweaters, dresses or skirts. The colour pairs well with just about very neutral, from camel and navy to gray and black. On casual seperates or festive party attire, burgundy is one fashion trend we’ll never tire of.

Probably my favorite way to wear burgundy is with a cozy and comforting sweater that you can pair either with skinny jeans or dress it up with a monochrome pencil skirt – or like I did it: with this lace skirt. You might rember this skirt from a previous post here, where I have worn it in summer with a graphic tee. And as you can see thoses pieces are a perfect transitional piece when it’s coming to fall / winter outfits. Nothing reads more luxe than head to toe burgundy but you can mix textures like knit, lace, suede or also leather. I love that you can wear these pieces together or break them apart for endless outfit ideas.

The perfect finishing touch to almost any fall looks is a perfect hat and in my case a warm beanie which I matched with the hangbag and with my pompom socks. Likewise it’s the first time I wore socks and mules…How do you like it? And do you have also a crush on burgundy colored items?

Have a great week ahead.
