From traditional to trendy

Embroidery is making a comeback likewise the trend is a nice nod to the 70s and we’re seeing it in every rerun this season, from floral to insect motives on dresses, t-shirts or even on handbags. It’s a beautiful skill and was very often used in the top couture collections. The 70s were as well the hottest time period for fashion which brought nostaligia to people who have spent their youth in those times and now  this is a retro choice all desginers were tapping into.

This dress from Sandro is designed with a pretty embroidered camisole top. The sweetheart necklace gives you a touch of décolletage, while the mid-length fit keeps the look sophisticated. Further, the dress is embellished with very fine stripes and finished with peplum hem which makes the dress light and romantic in a way. It’s not a tipically embroidered piece which you might have seen on other clothes, as the stiches are in the same color and they left out the motives. It’s more a fine embroidered and more elegant piece with pattern stiches – I really like the details of this dress. It’s definitely ideal for summer styling or holiday wardrobes. Appropriately to the whole look I’m wearing a little raffia clutch to keep the summerly lightness and my most comfortable espadrilles from Soludos once more:).

As the temperature in August on Mallorca are mostly reaching the highest level I needed therefore a summer hairstyle and made my hair to a little bun – a really easy hair do and perfect for hot summer days!

I hope you’re enjoying your summer so far and I wish you a good week!
