I have a terrible obsession with knit sweaters and bought recently two absolutely great sweaters from Vivian Graf www.viviangraf.com. She was working in knitwear desgin in New York and Berlin for well know desginers untill she created her own label in Switzerland from where she orginally comes from- yay like meJ. I met her personally once in New York (years ago)- as my husband and her are friends long time agoJ.
Her knitwear is all handmade and has a very high quality and what I absolutely adore: it has her own style. The two pieces I’ve got are from last collection fall/winter 16 but they are perfect transitional pieces to wear them in spring as well.
Last Sunday when we shot this look it was quite mild so I thought the very fine V-neck sweater is perfect for this day. We had brunch in the morning and were later in the city and invited for a kids birthday party, so I wanted to have a look which I could wear to all occasions. I combined the sweater with another long knit jacket but more with a chunky knit style and kept also similar tones. Knit on knit, I think, is also a perfect layer with temperatures like these. White jeans works actually very well with beige tones and to give a bit of elegance I threw on my black Valentino boots and a black belt to have a good color blocked outfit. It’s one of those outfits that is casual enough for a brunch at the restaurant, sophisticated enough to go to the city and cool enough for a birthday party. Plus, remember simplicity is everything: jeans and knits works alwaysJ and you can always play with accesoires like belt, shoes, handbag etc. to give your look a personal note.
Wish you a great weekend! Xx C
